Features & Specs
2355 Sq Ft – Completed 1996
This passive solar designed home has many nice features. There is an exposed heart pine beam ceiling in the kitchen, and a high level of detailed trim throughout the home.
Flooring consists of tile, decorative concrete and white oak. The basement windows are shaded in the summer by allowing the main living floor to cantilever over the top of the basement walls. Radiant heating is both in/under-floor and baseboard for the second floor. The stone masonry fireplace that helps to provide thermal mass as part of the passive solar system, separates the dining room from the living room and has built in shelves for displaying art. The sunspace keeps direct sun out of the kitchen but adds heat to the home during the cooler seasons.
